We have had a few questions about how the Nokia N9 works, as the buttonless phone has stumped a number of new users. But we got ourselves a tutorial on how you are going to coax this Meego powered handset to life.

1. Gestures only works when the phone's screen is active, so you have to tap the unlock button to activate the screen
2. Gestures register when you swipe from up and down as well as left to right. Note that those swipes have to start from one extreme to the other to register.


3. Finally, swiping up and holding the swipe halfway for more than a second reveals the four preset shortcuts.
